Key Technologies

Prolite – Lightweight shell and cuff construction with strategic reinforcements in key structural areas. This design reduces unnecessary weight while providing the strength, stability and effective power transfer needed for confident skiing.

Hawx Geometry – A carefully balanced combination of forward lean, ramp angle and foot positioning that places the skier in a natural, stable stance and supports efficient ski control.

Energy Link – A reinforced connection between the upper cuff and lower shell that improves responsiveness and power transfer, helping the skier maintain control throughout each turn.

Adaptive Fit System (AFS) Cuff – A removable rear cuff spoiler increases the available space around the calf. Removing the spoiler creates a more accommodating fit for different lower-leg shapes.

Energy Backbone – Structural reinforcement in key areas provides additional strength, stability and effective edge control.

Dual-Sided Cuff Alignment – Adjustable lateral cuff positioning on both sides allows the cuff angle to be adapted to the skier's lower-leg alignment, helping improve comfort, balance and control.

PP Shell / PU Cuff – The lower shell is made from lightweight polypropylene (PP), while the cuff uses polyurethane (PU). This combination provides comfortable support, reduced weight and good temperature stability.

Regular Cuff – All Sizes – A standard-height cuff construction provides balanced support around the lower leg across the model's size range.

Select Bronze Liner – An anatomically shaped liner designed to provide comfortable foot support. Its construction is similar in shape to the Select Silver liner but uses more economical lining materials.

Heat-Moldable Foams – Customizable foam materials within the liner can be shaped to improve comfort and accommodate individual foot contours.

3D Stretch Toe Box – An asymmetrically shaped toe area designed specifically for the left and right feet. It provides additional stretch and space around the big toe, helping improve comfort.

35 mm Velcro Strap – An adjustable power strap that provides additional support around the lower leg and helps maintain secure contact between the skier and the boot.

6000-Series Aluminium Buckles – Lightweight and durable aluminium buckles provide reliable closure and straightforward adjustment.

4-Buckle Closure System – Four independently adjustable buckles allow pressure to be distributed across the foot and lower leg according to individual fit requirements.

100 mm Last – Medium Width / MV – An anatomical medium-volume last designed for medium-width feet, offering a versatile combination of comfort, support and effective ski control.

15° Forward Lean – A balanced forward-lean angle encourages a natural skiing stance and supports effective pressure distribution over the skis.

4° Ramp Angle – The internal foot angle supports balanced positioning and efficient movement during skiing.

Cantable Grip Pad Single Component ISO 5355 – Durable sole grip pads designed to provide a stable connection with compatible alpine ski bindings. Their construction allows compatible canting shims to be used for boot-alignment adjustments.

Size Adjuster – Sizing inserts can be placed beneath the footbed to reduce the internal fit by approximately half a size, allowing more precise adjustment.

Medium / Soft Flex Characteristics – The forgiving flex profile prioritizes comfort, smooth forward movement and manageable responsiveness for skiers developing their technique.

Fit Recommendation

ATOMIC HAWX PRIME are an excellent choice for beginner and progressing skiers with medium-width feet who want comfortable, forgiving alpine ski boots for skiing on groomed slopes and exploring varied all-mountain terrain.

The 90 flex provides accessible support without the demanding stiffness of more advanced models. The 100 mm medium-volume last accommodates a broad range of medium-width feet, while the Select Bronze liner and 3D Stretch Toe Box help maintain comfort throughout the skiing day.

Four independently adjustable aluminium buckles and a 35 mm Velcro strap allow the fit to be secured around the foot and lower leg. The removable AFS cuff spoiler offers additional flexibility for different calf shapes, while Dual-Sided Cuff Alignment allows the cuff position to be adapted to the skier's lower-leg anatomy.

For the best fit, ski boots should be selected according to accurate foot measurements, foot volume and skiing ability. Professional boot fitting is recommended to ensure suitable comfort, secure foot retention and correct binding compatibility.

Sole Compatibility Note

Atomic's official product page contains conflicting sole information: the boot sole is identified as Cantable Grip Pad Single Component ISO 5355, while a separate datasheet field lists GripWalk ISO 23223. The actual sole markings and compatibility with the intended ski bindings should therefore be verified before use. The sole type should not be assumed from the product name alone.
