The THULE EPOS 3 979100 is a premium, fully foldable towbar-mounted bike rack designed for secure and convenient transportation of up to three bicycles. With a total load capacity of 60 kg and a maximum bike weight of 30 kg, it is suitable for a wide range of bikes, including heavier e-bikes, mountain bikes, gravel bikes and road bikes.

One of the key advantages of the EPOS is its innovative telescopic bike arms with pivoting cradles and steel-reinforced straps. The flexible attachment system allows bikes to be secured at different points on the frame or rear wheel, making it suitable for a wide variety of frame shapes and bicycle designs.

The generous 25 cm spacing between bikes helps reduce the risk of contact between bicycles during transport. Extra-long wheel holders accommodate bikes with wheelbases up to 1350 mm, making the EPOS suitable for many modern long-wheelbase mountain bikes and e-bikes.

Adjustable wheel holders with ratcheting pump buckles provide quick and secure wheel fixation. The carrier accommodates bikes with 16–32" wheels and tyres up to 3" wide. With optional Thule XXL Fatbike Wheel Straps, tyres up to 5" wide can also be transported.

The fully foldable design makes installation, handling and storage easy. Integrated transport wheels and a carrying handle make it more convenient to move the 22.7 kg carrier when it is not installed on the vehicle.

A practical foot-pedal tilt function provides access to the vehicle's luggage compartment even when bicycles are loaded. Integrated rear lights and a 13-pin electrical connector provide the necessary connection to the vehicle.

Both the bicycles and the carrier can be locked for additional security, and the system is compatible with the Thule One Key System. The carrier comes fully assembled and is ready for installation straight out of the box.
